Blackout (38)
$7.95 – $169.95
This color is formulated using carbon black pigment, which is derived from soot, resulting in one of the deepest, most intense blacks available.
We first encountered a version of this paint on the historic window frames of St. Paul’s Chapter House, London UK. During World War II, it was used to black out the windows as a protective measure during German air raids — adding a layer of historical significance to its already striking appearance.
Today, this shade—aptly named Blackout — continues to make a bold visual impact. It looks especially stunning in photographs when used on roof trim, where it pairs beautifully with the warm white tone of Whiteley.
